In the blink of an eye, the gasp of a breath,
We'll all befall to unwanted death;
A wondrous light, a final show,
But it happens too fast for us to know.

This is a continuation of my last full-digital piece, To Deafened Ears. This depicts a small area of ice tundra near the ocean. Off in the distance the meteor has just hit the planet. The shame of it is if that meteor does hit we'll never get to watch it come down or hit since at the speed it will be traveling it will take less than a second for it to go from our the atmosphere to the planet's surface. Don't want to seem a downer about all of it, but it's a real problem we have to face in 2039. We have to hope we find a solution to disturb it's path and push it away or we find some defense to it.
